Software Licensed by the Science Library: Access and Downloads

The Robin Li and Melissa Ma Science Library has purchased campus-wide site licenses for several products. Access to all of these products is limited to current Stanford students, faculty, and staff.

Product Agreements

Access to software is granted to current students, faculty, and staff (+postdocs) at Stanford.

ChemDraw is available on the cluster computers located in libraries, dorms, and the academic virtual desktop.


We have a campus-wide site license for the Signals ChemDraw that includes all current students, faculty, postdocs and staff at Stanford.  This agreement includes the desktop version of ChemOffice Professional (PC) and ChemDraw Professional (Mac)- note that not all features are available on iOS. Our agreement includes the Signals Notebook Standard Edition, a cloud-based electronic notebook, and ChemDraw+.

Download and Installation of Signals ChemDraw Software

Step 1: Request registration for an account

Please fill out the Signals ChemDraw and Notebook Request FormPlease note you must be logged into Google or Google Drive using your SUNet (@stanford.edu) credentials. If you receive an error trying to access the link, please log out of your existing Google or Chrome account, or use a new or incognito browser window. Contact us if you have any questions or issues.

Wait for the librarian to load your request into the Revvity licensing system.  This is a manual process. We appreciate your patience.

Step 2: Activate your account and set your password by the email sent to you.

After we have done this, you will receive further instructions to activate your Signals account directly from Revvity. Follow those instructions.  Contact sciencelibrary@stanford.edu if you have not received anything within 24h.

Step 3: Download the product. 

Log in to your account on the Signals Download Center.

Step 4: Activate the site license with your Signals account information.

Select the Signals account radial:

In the next step, use Stanford's Signals URL: https://stanfordsite.signalsresearch2.revvitycloud.com

Log in with your account credentials to verify your licensing.

Signals Notebook

PerkinElmer Signals Notebook Individual Edition, an electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) that is a cloud-based application, is included in our campus-wide site license for ChemOffice Professional.  This means that students, faculty, and staff at Stanford are able to use the Signals Notebook without paying any fees.  Check out this Nature Article for more information about choosing and using an ELN.

To use cloud-based services, please register for the Signals Notebook Product in Step 1 or reach out to Science Library if you already have a Signals account:

Access to the product will appear on your home screen after logging into Stanford's Signals URL: https://stanfordsite.signalsresearch2.revvitycloud.com

 

Troubleshooting: If you are having trouble with the registration/login process, please check that you are not attempting to use your previous intuitional registrations. Email sciencelibrary@stanford.edu for additional assistance if you have not seen any updates or emails with 24h of completing a step.
