- AkkasahThe Akkasah photographic archive at NYU Abu Dhabi is drawn from around the Middle East and North Africa. We digitize, catalogue and preserve photographic collections and make them available for scholarly research and general consultation both online via this website and in person at the NYU campus in Abu Dhabi. We also commission and archive new documentary work. Our archive consists at present of over 33,000 images, including prints, negatives and slides, of which over 11,000 are currently available online.

- EuropeanaEuropeana.eu is a digital library containing 4 million items, including images, texts, audio and video, from European museums, galleries, libraries, archives and audio-visual collections. Search by collections, filter by availability.
- Manar al-AtharThis digital archive from the University of Oxford is under continuous development and currently has over 90,000 images. Current strengths include Late Antiquity (250–750 AD), the period of transition from paganism to Christianity, and then to Islam, especially religious buildings (temples, churches, synagogues, mosques) and monumental art (including floor mosaics), early Islamic art (paintings, mosaics, relief sculpture), as well as Roman and early Islamic (Umayyad) architecture, and evidence of iconoclasm. Searching is available in Arabic and English.
