Library resources for FLI students: Relax and play
A guide to Stanford Libraries' resources for FLI students
Relax and play
- Be social in Hohbach Hall
- Play at the Media and Microtext Center
- Find peace and quiet in a reading room
Hohbach Hall on the first floor of the East Wing is an interactive zone that offers a variety of activities. For example, you can:
- Chat with your friends
- Sit in a comfy chair and look at the scenery
- Read a magazine from our display
- Piece together one of our jigsaw puzzles
- View exhibits from the Silicon Valley Archives
On the lower level of the East Wing is the Media and Microtext Center where you can:
- Play video games, vintage or new, on your favorite console system (also vintage or new!)
- Watch movies
- Play board games
- Play table tennis
The Media and Microtext Center hours may differ from the general library hours, so be sure to check first. Media and Microtext Center Hours
If your idea of relaxing is to be in a quiet, cozy place, visit one of the reading rooms in the libraries. A favorite is the Bender Room on the 5th floor of the Bing Wing of Green Library. It has lovely views over the campus, comfortable chairs, a warm feeling and books for recreational reading.
