Example: Find the Marlon Riggs Archive in SearchWorks:

  • Search for the Marlon Riggs Archive by entering the name "Marlon Riggs" and limiting results to "Archive/Manuscript" under "Refine your results" (below left).
  • Select #2. "Marlon Riggs archive, including papers, videos, and personal items, 1957-1994"


  • Select online "Archive of California" to view the finding aid (a description of the collection contents).
  • If you would like to look at the Archive in Special Collections select "Request on-site access" in the Special Collections box (below left) and submit details about what you would like to view.


  • Learn about the contents of the Archive by reading the finding aid in the Online Archive of California.
  • Scroll through through the contents in the "Table of Contents".
