This research guide is designed to assist users with accessing resources for Korean Studies. It offers guidance on locating materials by format (such as books, journals, and newspapers), exploring relevant collections and databases in various areas of Korean Studies, and practicing Korean romanization using the McCune-Reischauer system.

           

Korean Romanization

ALA-LC Korean Romanization

This system follows the McCune-Reischauer system to romanize Korean with some exceptions. College and university libraries in North America use this system in their library catalog records.

K-Romanizer

This tool converts Hangul alphabet into Roman alphabet. It is a Windows application for ALA-LC Korean romanization.
