Strategies for finding archival recordings that are available online
What are you seeking?
Are you looking for a one-of-a-kind recording from a live performance or home recording? Maybe you are seeking a commercial recording released in the 1930s of a past opera star. The discovery tool you use will need to match what you are seeking, to the left you can click on two pages depending on whether you are seeking a historic commercial recording or non-commercial recording. For the purposes of this guide we define commercial as released by a record label and non-commercial being a one-of-a-kind recording of an event.
