John Morning biographical information

John MorningJohn Morning is a printmaker who lives and works in Manhattan.  He uses the silkscreen medium for its precision and richness.  His focus is on color in determined structures, much as notes in music.

He has been a graphic designer, art director, and instructor at Pratt Institute, from which he graduated.  His earliest art instruction was at The Cleveland Museum of Art.  A former member of the Junior Council at the Museum of Modern Art, he is a current appointee to the New York State Council on the Arts and a board member of the International Print Center New York.

His prints are held by The Metropolitan Museum of Art, CUNY Graduate Center, New York University, Rockefeller Brothers Fund, and  leading private collectors.
