Included in this collection are Karen Leonard's research materials that were the basis for her book MAKING ETHNIC CHOICES; CALIFORNIA'S PUNJABI MEXICAN AMERICANS (1992), as well as the PBS documentary ROOTS IN THE SAND (1998).
Sanskriti is a Stanford student group founded in 1989 that celebrates and explores South Asian culture and history. In addition to films, talks, and the annual South Asian Awareness Month held during Winter Quarter, Sanskriti sponsors three shows - Festival of Lights in the Autumn, Rhythms in the Winter and Mela in the Spring.

Sukul, numerous manuscripts and pamphlets relating to eastern philosophies and religions (originally part of the library of the Yoga Institute of America), and material concerning nutrition and color and their effect on the mind and body (one of Sukul's primary interests)
