PWR1JI: Let's Get Radical: Rewriting Our Shared Systems: Connecting to resources

A guide to resources for PWR 1JI

How to connect to online resources from off-campus

  • To access online materials through the SearchWorks catalog, you will need to log in to SearchWorks first. The login is at the top right corner of any SearchWorks page.

  • To access online materials through other site, install the Lean Library extension on your browser.
  • To use Google Scholar, input Stanford Libraries as one of your library links in the Google Scholar settings menu.
  • Detailed instructions can be found on the Connecting to e-resources page.

What if it is behind a paywall?

First, make sure that you are satisfying all of the Avoid Paywalls strategies. Specifically, check Searchworks prior to submitting an ILL request. Remember, a catalog search does not return articles; similarly, an articles+ search does not return catalog results.

Some resources may be behind a paywall or otherwise inaccessible to you immediately. For situations, submitting an InterLibrary Loan (ILL) request will get you access.
