PWR 1EE: Prowling toward certainty: exploration as argument: Connecting from off-campus

A guide for students in the PWR course on ambivalence taught by Erik Ellis

How to connect to online resources from off-campus

  • To access online materials through the SearchWorks catalog, you will need to log in to SearchWorks first. The login is at the top right corner of any SearchWorks page.

  • To access online materials through other site, install the Lean Library extension on your browser.
  • To use Google Scholar, input Stanford Libraries as one of your library links in the Google Scholar settings menu.
  • Detailed instructions can be found on the Connecting to e-resources page.

What if it is behind a paywall?

Some resources may be behind a paywall or otherwise inaccessible to you immediately. For many works, submitting an InterLibrary Loan request can get you access. If you have looked in the catalog and cannot find a record of the item, submitting an ILL is usually the best next step.

Other options for finding documents, such as a FOIA request, are also possible. If you need help with any of these, contact us!
