REWIND

The Taube Center for Jewish Studies and Stanford University Libraries are thrilled to feature a retrospective Jewish film series. In 2020-2021, this series highlights the works of Jewish women filmmakers. From Girlfriends to Hester Street to Sex and the City, REWIND will explore how Jewish women navigate the worlds of film and television.

The program is organized into thematic double features followed by public programs. The two programs in Fall 2020 were "Girlfriends" and "Young and Alienated in New York." All films remain available for streaming.

In Winter 2021, our double features are "The Comedy of Jewish Assimilation in the 80's", "Turning to Yiddish," and "Adapting Jewish Literature."

This page will be updated throughout the year to include event registration links, recordings of past public programs, and programming for the Winter and Spring quarters.
